Venari i Epërm (Vinarci i Epërm)

Municipality Mitrovica

A historical document from 1395 mentions the settlement under the form Vinarci. An Ottoman register from 1604 documents the settlement. A later register from 1893 documents the settlement under the form Vinarica-i Bala.

For 1998–99, the source documents expulsion. Archaeological traces mentioned in the study include building foundations. Historical notes mention a church in the settlement area. The source records burning connected with a documented historical conflict.
