Valmiri (Vukofci)

Municipality Drenas

Valmiri (Vukofci) is in the municipality of Drenas. A historical document from 1348 mentions the settlement. An Ottoman register from 1566 documents the settlement.

A later register from 1893 documents the settlement. For 1998–99, the source documents expulsion. Archaeological traces mentioned in the study include older burial grounds. The study records the settlement of 16 families during the colonisation period. According to local tradition, the source records migration of residents to Turkey. Historical sources also record the settlement under the form Sabol.
