Torinë, treated in the body of the volume as Terina, lies about 7 km west of Lipjan. At Arat mi Shpia, stone foundations, bricks and roof tiles have been found, while the present cemetery also contained older graves with distinctive stone forms, inscriptions and undeciphered drawings.
For a long period the area served as livestock pasture for owners from Ilirioni (Ribar I Madh) before developing into a permanent settlement in the early 19th century. Kosovo Vilayet yearbooks from 1893, 1896 and 1900 record the historical form of the name. After 1912 there was emigration to Turkey; in the same year the Serbian authorities looted the village and killed seven residents.
In 1999 Torinë had 68 houses and around 550 Albanian residents. Serbian forces destroyed four houses; on 15 April the population left and took shelter mainly in Kroibardh.
