Municipality Klina

Topiaj (Bërkova) is in the municipality of Klina. An Ottoman register from 1485 documents the settlement. A historical document from 1769 mentions the settlement.

A later register from 1893 documents the settlement. Historical sources also record the settlement under the form Brecova.
