Teqe lies about 13 km east of Lipjan, around 2 km from Janjevë, and is divided into Upper and Lower Teqe. House walls have been found at Çeshmja e Nallbanit, while old graves of uncertain date and attribution survive beneath the village tyrbe.
The locality had been abandoned for a period and was re-established in 1878 by Albanian muhajirs expelled from the Sanjak of Niš. Its name is associated with the tekke of Isak Baba; an inscription gives the year 890 AH, which the source equates with 1481. In 1945 the village was looted and several houses were burned; the volume attributes this to Serbs from Sushica. In 1956 there was emigration to Turkey and Skopje.
In 1999 Teqe had around 40 Albanian families and approximately 360 residents. According to the study, the village escaped destruction during the final war.
