Skullan, now in the municipality of Graçanica, lies beside the Sitnica River, about 3–4 km north of historical Lipjan. The settlement is regarded as old, and the locality of Selishtë preserves the memory of an earlier settlement area.
The Graçanica charter of 1314–16 mentions the “mills of Skullan.” A register from 1455 records 46 households, while the 1566–74 register records 52. Residents also appear in the book of the Monastery of the Holy Trinity in 1465 and in Deviç records from 1763–80. An Austrian map from 1689 includes the settlement, while late-19th-century yearbooks use the form Iskullan.
The population composition changed over the centuries. The study notes Albanian families living here in the early 20th century but could not determine where they later migrated. In 1999–2002 Skullan was recorded with about 355 Serbian residents. Today the settlement belongs to the municipality of Graçanica.
