Shëngjergji (Jagoda) lies about 4-5 km from Klina. Its setting combines lowland and hilly terrain. The area preserves traces of an older settlement and early local heritage.
Traces or local memory of older church sites are preserved in the village area. The settlement appears in written records from 1327, with further references in 1485, 1772. Historical forms of the name recorded in documents include Jagodina. A register from 1485 records 13 households.
During the interwar period, around 1926, 43 Serbian or Montenegrin colonist families were settled here. During the 1998–1999 war, the settlement experienced burning and destruction, the expulsion or displacement of residents.
