Shashkoc lies about 12 km southeast of Prishtina. It is described as a dispersed settlement.
The source notes archaeological traces linking the locality with early phases of habitation. The author also records old religious remains or burial sites identified in the field or preserved in local tradition. In written records, the source traces the settlement at least to 1498, with further references in 1566–1574, 1678.
One of the cited registers for 1566–74 records 17 households; more granular demographic details are intentionally omitted here. Later emigration of some families to Turkey is also recorded. For 1998–1999, the source documents the expulsion or forced departure of residents.
