Saniku (Seniku)

Municipality Malisheva

Saniku (Seniku) is in the municipality of Malisheva. An Ottoman register from 1530 documents the settlement under the form Senik. A later register from 1893 documents the settlement.

Archaeological traces mentioned in the study include an inscription and building foundations. The study records the settlement of 30 families during the colonisation period. The source records burning connected with a documented historical conflict.
