Qeskovë lies about 8 km southwest of Klina. The terrain is hilly. Recorded traces around the settlement include old burial grounds, evidence of earlier habitation and use of the area.
The settlement appears in written records from 1327, with further references in 1485, 1893. A register from 1485 records 10 households. The 20th century also brought emigration of residents to Turkey and Albania. During the interwar period, around 1931, 6 Serbian or Montenegrin colonist families were settled here.
During the 1998–1999 war, Serbian forces caused killings of residents, the expulsion or displacement of residents.
