Pirana

Municipality Prizren

Pirana is in the municipality of Prizren. An Ottoman register from 1530 documents the settlement under the form Pirane. A later register from 1591 documents the settlement under the form Pirane with 11 households and 1 unmarried man.

Historical sources also record the settlement under the form Piranji.
