Municipality Gjilan

Parteshi is in the municipality of Gjilan. A historical document from 1381 mentions the settlement. An Ottoman register from 1455 documents the settlement with 17 households and 4 unmarried men.

A later register from 1566 documents the settlement under the form Parish with 17 households and 8 unmarried men. A historical document from 1772 mentions the settlement. Archaeological traces mentioned in the study include pottery and tile fragments and older burial grounds.
