Nora (Zajmi) lies about 4 km south of Klina. It has a compact settlement pattern. Its neighbourhoods form distinct parts of the settlement. Recorded traces around the settlement include roof tiles, bricks, old burial grounds, bridge remains, evidence of earlier habitation and use of the area.
The settlement appears in written records from 1347, with further references in 1485, 1893. Historical forms of the name recorded in documents include Novosella-i Zajm. A register from 1485 records 9 households. The 20th century also brought emigration of residents to Albania.
During the interwar period, 12 Serbian or Montenegrin colonist families were settled here. During the 1998–1999 war, Serbian forces caused the expulsion or displacement of residents.
