Municipality Lipjan

Mirena is in the municipality of Lipjan. An Ottoman register from 1893 documents the settlement under the form Mirina. For 1998–99, the source documents killings by Serbian forces.

Archaeological traces mentioned in the study include building foundations. The source records migration of residents to Turkey.
