Lubinja e Poshtme

Municipality Prizren

Lubinja e Poshtme is in the municipality of Prizren. A historical document from 1348 mentions the settlement. A historical document from 1465 mentions the settlement under the form Lubunja.

An Ottoman register from 1485 documents the settlement under the form Lobina. A later register from 1893 documents the settlement under the form Lobina. Archaeological traces mentioned in the study include older burial grounds. The source records migration of residents to Turkey.
