Llukar lies about 4 km northeast of Prishtina. The source describes it as a hilly settlement.
The author also records old religious remains or burial sites identified in the field or preserved in local tradition. In written records, the source traces the settlement at least to 1486–1487, with further references in 1566–1574, 1689. One of the cited registers for 1486–87 records 31 households; more granular demographic details are intentionally omitted here.
For the period between the two world wars, the source also documents the settlement of Serbian or Montenegrin colonist families. For 1998–1999, the source documents the expulsion or forced departure of residents.
