Kosaç, treated in the volume as Rrezana (Kosaça), is a hilly-lowland settlement about 5 km north of Gjilan. On the eve of the 1999 war the village had around 45 houses and approximately 305 Albanian residents.
Its history includes repeated population movement. Some families migrated to Turkey, while during the war the residents were forced to leave the village.
On 14 April 1999 the population was expelled to North Macedonia. Of roughly 55 houses, 35 were burned and 20 of those were destroyed to their foundations; auxiliary and economic buildings were also burned. Today Kosaç belongs to the municipality of Artana/Novo Brdo.
