Klinafc lies about 3-4 km north of Klina. Its neighbourhoods form distinct parts of the settlement. The terrain is hilly. The area preserves traces of an older settlement and early local heritage.
Traces or local memory of older church sites are preserved in the village area. The settlement appears in written records from 1347, with further references in 1355, 1485. A register from 1485 records 19 households. After the expulsions of Albanians from the Sanjak of Niš in 1877–1878, Albanian muhajir families also settled here.
The 20th century also brought emigration of residents to Turkey and Croatia. During the interwar period, 18 Serbian or Montenegrin colonist families were settled here. During the 1998–1999 war, the settlement experienced the killing of 7 residents.
