Harilaç lies about 8-9 km southwest of Fushë- Kosovës. The source describes it as a hilly settlement.
The source notes archaeological traces linking the locality with early phases of habitation. It also records traces or localities associated with earlier fortifications. In written records, the source traces the settlement at least to 1326, with further references in 1330, 1455.
One of the cited registers for 1455 records 27 households; more granular demographic details are intentionally omitted here. For the period between the two world wars, the source also documents the settlement of Serbian or Montenegrin colonist families. Later emigration of some families to Turkey is also recorded. For 1998–1999, the source records the impact of the war on the settlement.
