Hallaç I Madh lies about 4 km southwest of Lipjan, in a lowland area. The volume discusses it together with Hallaç I Vogël under the shared historical entry “Hallaqi,” while making clear that by the time of the study they were two separate settlements. At Bregu i Hallaqit, stones, house foundations, roof tiles and old implements have been observed, traces that local tradition associates with an earlier settlement.
A register from 1455 records the form Hallash with 18 households. Records from 1477 and 1487 describe it as uninhabited, while the 1566–74 register shows that it had been repopulated. An Austrian map based on information from 1689 and late-19th-century yearbooks document it again.
In 1999 Hallaç I Madh had about 40 Albanian houses with roughly 420 residents and 17 Serbian houses. One young man from the village, a KLA member, was killed during the war.
