Gjeqi (Jeshkova)

Municipality Prizren

Gjeqi (Jeshkova) is in the municipality of Prizren. A historical document from 1348 mentions the settlement. An Ottoman register from 1530 documents the settlement under the form Jeshkova with 18 households.

For 1998–99, the source documents expulsion and an attack by Serbian/Yugoslav police. Archaeological traces mentioned in the study include older burial grounds.
