Municipality Lipjan

Gadimja e Epërme is in the municipality of Lipjan. A historical document from 1371 mentions the settlement. An Ottoman register from 1498 documents the settlement under the form Gadimja Gorna.

A later register from 1566 documents the settlement with 25 households and 4 unmarried men. The register from 1893 documents the settlement. For 1998–99, the source documents expulsion. The source records migration of residents to Turkey. Historical sources also record the settlement under the form Gadime.
