Settlement
Gadime e Poshtme
Lipjan
A village southeast of Lipjan, Gadime e Poshtme is recorded in Jusuf Osmani’s settlement study as a long-inhabited locality. The book notes archaeological traces around the village and records the historical form Dolna Gadimla in a 1498 cadastral register. It also places the two Gadime settlements in a longer documentary record reaching back to medieval references.
The locality is closely connected with Marble Cave, whose discovery is noted in the source. That cave is best explored through ViewKosova’s existing Place page; this page is about the settlement’s own historical setting rather than a second attraction listing. The study preserves a much fuller local record than can responsibly be summarised here.
