Settlement

Fushëlumi (Grabanica)

Municipality Klina

Fushëlumi (Grabanica) lies about 6 km southwest of Klina. Recorded traces around the settlement include roof tiles, bricks, old burial grounds, bridge remains, evidence of earlier habitation and use of the area.

The settlement appears in written records from 1347, with further references in 1348, 1485. A register from 1485 records 10 households. The 20th century also brought emigration of residents to Turkey and Albania. During the interwar period, 5 Serbian or Montenegrin colonist families were settled here.

The settlement suffered burning and destruction during the war. Four people from the village lost their lives during the wartime and immediate post-war period; one of them was killed after the war in circumstances recorded as unresolved.
