A historical document from 1426 mentions the settlement. An Ottoman register from 1893 documents the settlement. For 1998–99, the source documents burning by Serbian forces and expulsion by Serbian forces.

Archaeological traces mentioned in the study include older burial grounds. Historical notes mention a church in the settlement area. Historical sources also record the settlement under the form Bokelska Brigada.
