Municipality Mitrovica

Bare is in the municipality of Mitrovica. An Ottoman register from 1566 documents the settlement under the form Raktenica. A historical document from 1875 mentions the settlement.

A later register from 1893 documents the settlement under the form Bara. For 1998–99, the source documents burning and burning by Serbian forces.
