Peja Old Bazaar
Peja Old Bazaar is a restored heritage quarter of craft lanes and small shops in the centre of Peja, shaped by the city’s long trading history.
A craft and trading quarter
Peja Old Bazaar is one of the city’s principal heritage areas. Its lanes and shopfronts recall a trading and craft district that historically included many specialist workshops. The area was rebuilt after the 1999 war and remains a useful place to read Peja at walking pace.
Link the historic core
Walk through the bazaar with Haxhi Zeka Square, Peja Museum and the city centre. The wider old core is best understood as a sequence of streets and buildings, rather than a single gate or monument.
Keep expectations current
It is an active neighbourhood, so individual shops and venues change. Visit for the urban atmosphere and heritage setting, then confirm a particular craft, museum or business directly.
